An entertainer, teacher, and voice talent, Madalana grew up in Seattle, WA, and moved to Santa Barbara in 2000 after traveling in Europe, Asia, and Australia including touring with a Dixieland Jazz Band as their trombone player, back up vocalist, and children’s outreach coordinator.
Madalena is the voice of the Santa Barbara Airport and the County of Santa Barbara, and she has recorded commercials for Decker’s, Toyota, Honda, Freschetta Pizza, Montecito Bank and Trust, KJEE, Hyatt, Citrix, and many more.
Since 2009, the Wallis Foundation has sponsored her position of Elementary Trombone Coach for the Santa Barbara Unified School District. Madalena tirelessly travels to 9 elementary schools in Santa Barbara and the after school music programs Bravo! and ICAN to teach trombone. The number of elementary trombone players in Santa Barbara has grown from fewer than 10 to over 150 under Madalena’s watch!
In 2013, Madalena began giving historical tours of Santa Barbara through Land and Sea Tours combining her love of Santa Barbara and its history with her passion for entertaining.
She can also be seen Sundays at the Brewhouse, hosting the Hammerhead Hour; a live, interactive family friendly trivia show now in its 8th year.
Madalena’s true passion is using her voice to inspire and make people laugh!
